December 7, 2009, Monday. Roseville, CA... I woke up to this!

A dusting of snow in my backyard! Can you see it? Some snow on the grass, some snow on top of the bark in the play area? Do you see it?

The kids woke up so excited. It was like magic to them. They were bouncing around the house pointing out all the places where the snow had fallen. It's a pretty big deal for us because in a place that reaches 115 degrees in the dead of summer and 70 degrees sometimes in the winter, we NEVER get snow. The kids couldn't get ready fast enough to get outside and have a snowball fight. By the afternoon it was all melted. Andrew (4 yrs. old) looked out the window and yelled out, "Hey Mom...who cleaned up all the snow?"!
