We have been going to Lake Tahoe with our family for the past four years. It has become something we to look forward to each summer....just before school starts. I am so happy that our family has begun this tradition. We love to go to up to North Shore, stay at our favorite condo, spend the days at our favorite beaches...(even found a new one this year) and enjoy our family tradition of cooking up some good ol' ribs, corn on the cob and potato salad. The icing on the cake is that for the past 2 years we have been joined by my sister and her AMAZING husband, my brother-in-law SONNY and their family. Sonny is so awesome that a trip to Tahoe would not be the same without him. In fact, any family event would not even be close to enjoyable without SONNY'S presence! WOW, he is such a great guy! Our family would not be complete without him. Oh..and did I mention what a great Uncle and Godfather he is to my children?!! (Sonny, did I give you enough mention?)
Overall we had an amazing time in Lake Tahoe! The weather was less than desirable during our first day or two. In the end, the sun came out and we had a wonderful time. Tahoe just makes you appreciate the outdoors. The spectacular views never seem to end. We had a great time with family, fun "cousin sleepovers", enjoyed a great hike to Emerald Bay that ended with a picnic lunch on the beach, hung out at Sand Harbor Beach...digging in the sand and playing in the "chilly" water. We also enjoyed awesome food and plenty of adult beverages!!
We had a wonderful trip, and coming home was much more exciting than usual because school starts in the morning. Lunches are made, backpacks are packed and clothes are laid out. Here we go again!!!
Here are a few pictures from the weekend. I left my camera behind at home..so I had to depend on my sister to photograph the weekend. In the end, her family was in almost every shot of course--just like her (just kidding sister Kris).
