Today is the feast of St. Monica. She is one of the premier examples of patience, especially for us moms. I consider her my patron saint, not only because I chose her as my confirmation saint, but also because here is a mom who showed such patience and perseverance in prayer...and these are some of the traits (especially that whole patience thing) that I severely lack.Whenever I am feeling my maternal efforts are inadequate, I think of the perseverance of St. Monica. With the grace of God, all things are possible.
